Laying the Foundations for Communication

Level 1 – English Foundations

Ideal for absolute beginners, this level introduces essential English vocabulary and basic grammar through engaging topics like:

  • Greetings & feelings ("How are you?")
  • Numbers & age ("How old are you?")
  • Countries & origin ("Where are you from?")
  • Classroom objects, fruits, colours, animals, body parts & family
  • Simple questions and answers ("What is it?" "Who is it?" "What do you like?")
Level 2 – Building Basics

This level bridges beginners to early elementary learners by expanding vocabulary and sentence structures:

  • "Can" for ability
  • Likes/dislikes in the present simple
  • Describing objects with adjectives and nouns
  • "There is/There are" with kitchen and home vocabulary
  • Prepositions of place & technology vocabulary
  • Introduction to the present continuous ("What are you doing?")
  • Basic job vocabulary and routines

  • Level 3 – Eveyday English

    Learners move into broader topics that connect more with daily life and common situations:

  • Numbers 20–100, telling the time & parts of the day
  • Days, schedules & months
  • Weather & seasons
  • Activities and hobbies using "like + ing"
  • Talking about frequency ("How often…")
  • Community places and giving directions
  • Asking “Why?” and giving reasons

  • Level 4 – Expanding Communication

    Students begin expressing more abstract ideas and past experiences using:

  • School subjects & preferences
  • Past simple tense (regular/irregular verbs)
  • Describing past events ("Where did you go? What did you do?")
  • Health and advice ("You should/shouldn’t...")
  • Sea creatures & use of articles (a/an)
  • Shopping vocabulary + quantifiers (some, many, much)
  • Jobs & present simple questions ("What does he/she do?")
  • Possession ("Whose is this?")
  • Describing quantity ("How many are there?")

  • Level 5 – Confident Expression

    Learners gain confidence to express thoughts about the future, dreams, comparisons, and more:

  • Future tense with "will" and "going to"
  • Describing appearance ("What does he/she look like?")
  • "Have you got…?" and shopping vocabulary
  • Talking about dreams and career aspirations
  • Using comparative & superlative adjectives
  • Travel plans, restaurants, and international food
  • Introduction to basic parts of speech
